MANUFACTURER LAUNCHES ANTI-BACTERIAL FURNITURE
Birstall based manufacturer James Bedford has re-launched their full range of industrial and commercial furniture using a tough hard wearing Anti-bacterial powder coating.

Working in partnership with their powder coating supplier(s) Bedford’s are now using a powder coating system that is 99.99% effective against Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria like MRSA, E-Coli, Salmonella and Listeria.

The coating system delivers active silver ions at the coating surface to penetrate the bacteria cell walls disrupting the cell and thereby inhibiting bacterial growth. This release of silver ions remains active for periods in excess of 10 years. This system is recommended as an aid to good hygiene practices and should not be used to replace a cleaning regime already in place.

Bedford’s are an established market leading manufacturer and supplier of steel products including workbenches, trolleys, storage cabinets and toolboxes. The company also produces bespoke products, including stainless steel items for food and pharmaceutical industries.

James Bedford products are commonly used in the heath, education and retail sectors where minimising cross contamination of storage products is essential.

Looking to expand, Bedford’s have recently invested in a new Panel bending machine and a 2nd punch press to cope with demand and subsequently recruited more staff. The firm now has 35 employees and its current turnover of £2m is growing.
