CONTINUED PROGRAMME OF INVESTMENT LEADS TO MANUFACTURER CREATING MORE CAPACITY
Birstall based manufacturer James Bedford has continually invested in manpower, plant and machinery to offer customers improved service levels.
Demand for Bedford product has nearly doubled over the last 5 years and to maintain and improve levels of service the company has invested in a 25,000 square feet factory in May 2003, a new high capacity panel bender in September 2004 and a 2nd punch press in February 2006. The staffing levels have increased from 25 to 35 in the same period. Sales turnover is currently £2m plus.
Bedford’s are an established market leading manufacturer and supplier of industrial steel products including workbenches, trolleys, storage cabinets and toolboxes. The company also produces bespoke products, including stainless steel items for food and pharmaceutical industries.

The company has also gained ISO9001 – 2000 accreditation recently and is re-launching the whole product range finished in an anti-bacterial paint.
